| General Conditions : |

|
be a national of one of the European Union’s Member
States
enjoy full rights as a citizen
have fulfilled any obligations imposed on you by the laws
on military service
produce the appropriate character references as to your
suitability for the performance of your duties.

| Language Requirments : |
| |
|
Thorough knowledge of one of the European Union
official languages (1) (first language) and very good knowledge
of another (second language).
For practical reasons a good knowledge of French
and English is required.
Knowledge of other European Union official languages will be taken into account, particularly at the oral tests.

| Specific Position Questions : |
| |
|
At least 11 years’ multidisciplinary professional
experience in information and communication technologies,
acquired after obtaining the degree giving
access to the competition. This experience must
include a logical combination of at least eight of the
following areas:
network architecture (LAN, WAN, WLAN, etc.)
cabling and connection infrastructure
voice telecommunications architecture (PABX, analogue, digital and IP PABX networks, numbering systems, traffic engineering, etc.)
leading and taking part in the search for and definition of solutions, products, architectures and standards
encouraging project teams to adopt the recommended solutions and standards and take account of the results of technical checks
organising support and technical advice on the subject,
leading a technology watch.
e-mail systems,
operating systems (UNIX, Windows, Linux),
database management systems (Oracle),
project management software,
development methodologies,
office automation, workgroup and workflow
software,
systems ergonomics,
systems quality assurance,
teleworking and nomadic working,
parliamentary procedures and working
methods,
IT security, authentication, encryption and electronic
signatures.
